Built-in options

• Larger text — use the A+ / A− buttons in the top bar on any page. Your choice is remembered.
• High contrast & dark mode — tap the 🌓 button to switch themes.
• Reduce motion — animations are gentle by design; heavier effects respect your system's “reduce motion” setting.
• Keyboard navigation — everything works without a mouse: tab through, press Enter to choose. A “skip to content” link appears first.
• Alt text — every learning picture has a description for screen readers.
• Audio alternatives — words, numbers and stories can be read aloud; every video page offers a transcript.
• Captions — we prefer videos that include captions and mark them where available.

Design principles

• Large, rounded buttons that are easy to tap.
• Calm colours with strong contrast (WCAG AA targets).
• Simple navigation — no confusing menus or popups.
• No flashing content.
